Armagh City won the Mid-Ulster League U-12's cup final played at Dungannon against League winners Cookstown Youth on Friday night.
City went into the game as underdogs having lost both league games to Cookstown. City went one down after 12 minutes to a deflected free kick. On 15 minutes City got back in the game when Andrew Hoey scored from 35 yards with a goal of the season effort, his 59th goal of the seaon. City should have scored more in the 1st half as they were well on top but the half ended 1-1. Cookstown came out and went on the attack and with 14 minutes left went 2-1 up. The City players took this set back on the chin and two minutes later went level when Tom O'Kane lobbed THE "Town" Keeper from 20 yards. City were dominant by this stage and with six minutes left they took the lead for the first time when Hoey set up Gavin Conlon who fired past the keeper for his 35th goal of the seaon. With 2 minutes left Citywent 4-2 up when Hoey was fouled in the box and centre half Nathan Stewart(younger bother of City player, Mark Stewart) fired home the penalty.
