Saturday, 28 August 2010 18:41
City Under-18s have started the 2010/11 league campaign with three wins during the first week putting them on top of the table.

Goals from Mark Trainor 3, Phil Kelly 3, Paudsy Rafferty, Adam Breakey and Eoin Fields completed a 9-1 rout over Dromore on the first day. Trainor, Breakey and Ryan McGerrigan have since been selected by the First team.

Rafferty and Kelly were again on target in the midweek game which was a 2-1 win away to St Mary's Portadown. Rafferty's goal was a 30 yard free kick and Kelly's was a fine left foot strike after Eoin Fields picked him out.

The third game of the week was a comfortable 3-1 win at home to Crumlin. Ally Dodds' left foot strike put City one up but Crumlin equalised soon after. Dodds again gave City a lead which they were not to lose, though the game wasn't wrapped up to the 90th minute when Rafferty scored for the third game in a row.

Next up is an away game v Hillsborough boys on Sat 4th Sept
