Armagh City 1 Moyola Park 0
ARMAGH City produced a strong performance in Championship Two at Holm Park on Saturday and collected all three points against visitors Moyola Park.
A single goal seperated the sides at the end but, to be fair, the Holm Park outfit controlled the game for long periods and never came under any real pressure from their Castledawson opponents.

A successful Armagh City Football Club focuses the spotlight not
only on the club but on the city itself, as we strive to return to the
Premiership. It is and always has been the intention of everyone
connected with the club to place it at the heart of the Armagh
community.
Armagh City Football Club at present play in the Irish league
Championship. As well as the senior team, the club which is totally
cross community in its outlook has once again got a reserve team.
However we are also continually striving to develop the game at
grassroots level and at present cater for boys and girls up to ten years
of age by way of our mini soccer programme. Competitively the Youth
Section now has six very successful teams ranging from Under 11 all
the way through to our U18 team. The Armagh Ladies team which
was formed in 2002 and plays successfully in the Northern Ireland
Women’s FA League is also going from strength to strength.
To maintain the many teams which the club now run is not only a
very time consuming business but also a very demanding one from a
financial point of view. To that end we are continually looking to the
local business community for any help they can give the club by way
of sponsorship.
We believe that any sponsorship should be mutually beneficial to both
parties. Not only does it provide the club with much needed finance,
enabling the club to sustain a team at the highest possible level that
the local community can be proud of, but will also allow us to continue
promoting the game at grass roots level for the many young people in
Armagh and surrounding area.
If you feel you can help in any of the ways listed below or indeed in
any other way, please contact Marty Rice on 07713-488677 or Ivor
McGucken on 07889-130260 who will be delighted to meet with you to
discuss the various sponsorship opportunities which are available or to
answer any other queries you may have.
